Wealdstone Football Club play from The Vale stadium, a stones through away while Ruislip Rugby Club is 6 mins walk. New Pond playing fields lie in the opposite direction 10 to 15 mins walk.

Playing Fields & Ruislip Woods
Walking straight through Ruislip Manor High Street, up the hill and down again (15 mins) brings you first to Kings College Playing Fields which are also home to Ruislip Cricket Club, Eastcote Hockey & Badminton Club, Ruislip Rangers Football Club (boys & girls), the running track, skate park and café.
Carry on walking a few minutes further and you’ll enter Ruislip Woods, an ancient semi natural woodland. Park Woods forms this first part and the main track leads you to Ruislip Lido (15 mins), a popular attraction since the 1930s with its own beach and mini railway. The Woodland Centre is based within the Lido. Ruislip Woods is a National Nature reserve encompassing Park Wood, Ruislip Common, Bayhurst Wood, Madbess Wood, The Norther Finger, Grub Ground and Tarleton’s Laker, covering 755 acres.

Originally built in 1811 as a reservoir it became polluted and transitioned in the 1930s into a boating and swimming lake until its present incarnation as a nature reserve with a 60 acre lake and Britains longest 12’’ narrow gauge railway.
The famous sandy beach with pirate ship and separate play areas for children plus cafe for the adults. Woodlands walks cover the perimeter of the lake and are very popular with runners.
